Last night's hotel: Comfort Inn, Edgware road, London

Edgeware road is long, and one end of it is posh. Mthus is the other end.  Turn right out of Edgeware Road tube station.  Hardly Beirut, that you might think it because if the Lebanese restaurants.
The wifi was free but didnt work.  The continental breakfast was very good.  The shower was fine but oddly small because there was room for a bigger one.  Maybe I'm just fat.
There might have been a roach but it was clean enough.  So fine but basically £20 too expensive.  But then again London appeared full and my usual haunts were another £20 more ahain.

Tonight's hotel: Travelodge Broadway Plaza, Birmingham

Upstairs in an entertainment complex.  There is a lift.  Walkway outside window.  Hot and stuffy.  Oh look, another Trevelodge night.  Wifi £3 but ok.

Last week's hotel : Corner House hotel, Taunton

Old pub style hotel. Very mazy lay out.  Good food.
Wifi okish.  Shower okish.  Place very pleasant.

Last week's hotel: Marylebone Inn hotel

Just up from old haunts.  No breakfast but a real bargain.  Dont know if that will last.
Reasonable wifi, good if small shower. No lift

Todays' hotel : Park Inn by Radisson

Perfect room number 241
A colleague said "its a Premier Inn without the purple" .  Bit harsh.
Goid free wifi.  Shower fine but liw pressure.
Breakfast ok.

Last night's hotel: Travelodge, London Docklands

Fairly standard, though stifflingly hot.  Very close the DLR but tucked away behind a building in India Docks.  Wifi good, breakfast at the good end of Travelodge standard.  Cheap too.

Last night's hotel: Park Regis, Birmingham

Very nice.  Good free and easy to use wifi, nice breakfast, comfy big bed.  Apparently this room was an upgrade.

Last night's hotel : Park Plaza, Riverside London

Ooh what a location - opposite Millbank.  I didnt have a room with a view. BUt I bet they are amazing.  I also didn't pay - but it cant be cheap.
Wifi free and ok to good.  Shower fine apart from the usual problem of elegant but unfathomable controls.  Room spacious and comfy.  Breakfast not perhaps as top notch as the rest, and they could do with more lifts.

Last night's hotel: Radisson Blu, Manchester airport

Eye wateringly expendive I believe. Jolly nice. Breakfast a bit over fancy for my taste.  Wifi excellent and free.  Shower a bit feeble.  Excellent view, and quiet.

Last week's hotel: st. georges hotel, Langham place, London

Photo doesnt do it justice.  The real thing here is the location and the views (yes that is the moon).  The restaurant/bar heights on the 15th floor has amazing views of the BT tower on one side, the BBC on the other.  Very convenient for where I wanted to be.  Rather pricy.  Cheaper no doubt than the Langham across the road.  Right next to the BBC, which probably pushes up,prices too.

Wifi free for basic.  Shower rather feeble (London standard).  No breakfast.  Rather dated but lots of room.

Last weekend's hotel: Travelodge Meadowhall Sheffield

Just the place to spend at the ice rink.  There are closer hotels but they tend to book out and be expensive.  This one is walking distance from the Meadowhall train station, and just off the M1.

Did the job very well. Price was when booked in January.  We could probably have got it cheaper on the day.  Staff friendly.  £3 wifi, and rather weak shower with the usual Travelodge shampoo,on the wall.

Probably back next year.

Tonigh's hotel: the George hotel, Huntingdon

Well its a pub.  Which is a bit odd. But hey ho.  Very poor shower, the Cloud wifi (so ok ish, and free), and the weakest shower I've had in ages.  There is Shakespeare's The Tempest in the courtyard next weekend which sounds like a lot if fun - wish I was here.  Also wish they had told me when they stopped serving food last night...

Last night's hotel: Marriott Huntingdon

Pretty ok if you have a car.  On an industrial esrate so hard to go anywhere if you dont.  Food good, wifi good.  Typical Marriott.

This week's hotel: Hotel Kraka, Unna, Germany

Little German town withsome old walls and god restaurants.  Typucal German business hotel.  Towels not luxurious, bath/shower, good breakfast, connected to bar. Wifi good apart from my room where it was not existent.  So it goes.  Happy to return.  75 € per night b&b
