Halfway through Friday's European Super cup I was agreeing with my brother in-law that it was in essence a meaningless friendly that just disrupts the early season. Of course by the end, I realise the true importance of the trophy as a contest to determine the true champions of Europe - well I did after our victory over CSK Moscow.
So only the Premiership left to win this century!
Bit of a bugger to draw Chelsea in the Champions League group stages. Oh, and how we laughed when the Toffees were kicked out into the UEFA cup. If that is such a meaningless bauble, let them try to win it!
Hard to bear seeing the blessed Michael in Newcastle's stripes. But I am confident it will only be for a season. Though it is hard to see it doing his development any good, playing with the Magpies. Fond of them as I am, they have been relentlessly crap for decades apart from wor Kev's season of brilliance and mental imbalance.
I bought my wedding suit in Neiman Marcus in New Orleans. Sorry to see it drowned by Hurrican Katrina.
